Our Team
It’s the people that make a home.
Our team strive to preserve the dignity, individuality and privacy of all of our residents within a welcoming and caring atmosphere. In doing so, we are sensitive to the ever-changing needs that surround providing the highest possible levels of care.
Our people
All our staff are employed under a rigorous process which enables us to find the best candidates for the job.
All our care staff have, or at least are working towards an QCF (formerly NVQ) Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, with a high percentage having achieved level 3 in care. Likewise, our catering staff all have QCF (Formerly NVQ) Level 2 in catering and hospitality.
We are committed to keeping our staff up to date with changing procedures and legislation using a continuous staff training programme.
Our staff are passionate and committed to providing the highest standard of care. Continuity of care is of utmost importance to us and our residents. Conducting regular appraisals and keeping our staff happy and motivated ensures that staff turnover is low and aids in the all-important continuity of relationships between carers and residents.
Our open and friendly management team allows staff, residents and family members to share any concerns or ideas freely and comfortably.
Our Registered Manager
I have worked in the care sector for many years where I have gained a wealth of experience within Elderly Dementia care, Mental Health, Challenging behaviours and Learning Disabilities. I have achieved Higher Diplomas within Leadership and Management in health and social care, Dementia awareness, End of life care, Infection control, Food hygiene and Food preparation to name a few.
I am a qualified Train the Trainer, which enables me to provide a person centred approach to training in house to ensure our staff provide the best care to our residents.
I am a Dignity Champion within the National Dignity Council, and I like to ensure Dignity and respect is the main focus in our home.
There is a lovely atmosphere within St Anthony’s, where all residents are treated with respect. As the registered Manager, it is my mission to ensure that this person-centred approach to care is maintained and excels within the home.

“Mom was lucky enough to stay at St Anthony’s for a few years before she passed away in December 2021. The staff there were brilliant with her , especially in such difficult times over past two years due to coronavirus. The Home gave her care, love, support and kept her safe.”
Debs Pettingill

‘’this is a very special place with the most amazing team who really do care, not just for the residents but for the families too. Both my Mom and my Dad were part of the St Ants ‘family’ and were brilliantly cared for – the team were like an extension of our family and both my parents were very happy there.’’
